ICOM-US Governance
ICOM-US operates according to the Bylaws of ICOM-US, the U.S. National Committee of the International Council of Museums. These bylaws were Adopted by the General Membership of the Committee, May 1, 1978 and amended June 11, 1985, June 20, 1989, May 11, 1990, April 27, 1992, May 4, 1996, and January 15, 2007.
The U.S. committee of ICOM is led by the ICOM-US Board. You can also review the ICOM-US Board Member Position Description.
ICOM-US Board nomination suggestions for the 2010-2013 class are now being accepted.
Meetings
Every year ICOM-US holds an Annual Business Meeting and Luncheon at the AAM Annual Meeting. ICOM-US also sponsors panels, presentations, and receptions for ICOM members throughout the meeting.
Every three years ICOM holds a General Assembly, also known as a Triennial. The next ICOM General Assembly will be in Shanghai in 2010.
In addition, ICOM’s International Committee Annual Meetings are held throughout the year and across the globe.
